In the heart of Arizona lies Bisbee, a town that epitomizes the fusion of artsy charm and historical depth, attracting souls yearning for a life less ordinary. Among its newest advocates is none other than Gretchen Bonaduce, whose journey from the Hollywood limelight to this quaint town’s vibrant streets reads like a narrative replete with transformation, community spirit, and unyielding ambition. Bisbee Pride June 2024 14th, 15th, & 16th is a weekend filled with incredible events. Gretchen is proud to sponsor the screening of Saved! Friday June 14th at 7PM that kicks off the weekend events. The Director of the film Brian Dannelly will be at the Premiere for Q&A.

Gretchen Bonaduce first graced the public eye through the tumultuous waves of reality television. However, it was her visit to Bisbee for a book signing event that marked the beginning of an unforeseen love affair with this quirky enclave. The occasion was to promote her then-new book “Surviving Agent Orange and Other Things I Learned from Being Thrown Under The Partridge Family Bus.” Living in California at the time, she found something irresistibly captivating about Bisbee’s unique blend of creativity and funkiness that she decided to make a life-altering decision. Selling her Los Feliz home, she ventured into hospitality by acquiring two hotels and a restaurant in her new found haven. Her commitment to Bisbee’s cultural and economic fabric didn’t stop there; she later expanded her entrepreneurial footprint by purchasing another restaurant.

As if reshaping Bisbee’s hospitality scene wasn’t enough, Bonaduce immersed herself in local politics, driven by a desire to contribute more profoundly to the community she had grown to adore. Now running for mayor, she aims to leverage her platform for positive change, championing initiatives that reflect the town’s eclectic spirit while addressing its residents’ needs.

Beyond her political aspirations and business ventures, Gretchen Bonaduce has shown an unwavering commitment to inclusivity and diversity, particularly exemplified through her support for Bisbee Pride. This year marks a significant milestone as she proudly sponsors the 20th-anniversary screening of “Saved!” at The Shady Dell on June 14th at 7 pm. Directed by Brian Dannelly and produced by Michael Stipe of R.E.M., “Saved!” is more than just a film; it’s a cultural touchstone that resonates with themes of faith, identity, and acceptance—values deeply ingrained in the ethos of Bisbee Pride.

Bisbee Pride itself stands as a testament to how far-reaching inclusivity can knit communities closer together. What began in 2004 as a modest gathering among friends has burgeoned into an impactful non-profit organization dedicated to wellness, education, human rights advocacy within both LGBTQ+ circles and Cochise County at large. Through its efforts—and with strong backing from figures like Bonaduce—Bisbee has become not just Arizona’s first municipality to pass a Civil Union Ordinance but also an emblematic space where diversity is celebrated unabashedly.

The upcoming screening event is poised not only as an entertainment spectacle but also as an embodiment of solidarity within the community. Director Brian Dannelly expresses immense gratitude towards Gretchen Bonaduce for orchestrating what promises to be an unforgettable night underlining his movie’s enduring relevance.
