Bob Saget died last month in a hotel room in Orlando, Florida, and the cause of his death was revealed to be head trauma, says the Saget family in a statement.

“The authorities have determined that Bob passed from head trauma,” said the Saget family in a statement. “They have concluded that he accidentally hit the back of his head on something, thought nothing of it, and went to sleep. No drugs or alcohol were involved.”

The Saget Family added that they have been “overwhelmed with the incredible outpouring of love” from his supporters and further said that the support has been “a great comfort” to them.

“Now that we have the final conclusions from the authorities’ investigation, we felt it only proper that the fans hear those conclusions directly from us,” the family continued. “As we continue to mourn together, we ask everyone to remember the love and laughter that Bob brought to this world, and the lessons he taught us all: to be kind to everyone, to let the people you love know you love them, and to face difficult times with hugs and laughter.”

Saget was on a comedy tour that time and had performed near Jacksonville, Florida, the day before his death.

Saget is an American TV personality who has been in the industry for over twenty years since the 1990s. He starred on “Full House,” as well as “America’s Funniest Home Videos” and other memorable shows.

From 2005 to 2014, he played a role in “How I Met Your Mother” as the narrator and returned as Danny Tanner between 2016 and 2020 on the Netflix show “Fuller House,” which is a reboot of “Full House.” Saget also frequently appeared in one-time or recurring roles in TV shows and films, playing himself or a parody of himself.

Florida’s Orange County Sheriff said that deputies were asked to come to the Ritz-Carlton in Orlando following the discovery of an unresponsive man in one of its rooms.

The deceased man has been identified as Saget. He was found dead on the scene with no signs of foul play or drug use, according to authorities.
