Justin Timberlake is now prepared for the worst.
The musician’s dance moves circulated on the internet and quickly became viral following his playing the “Sexy Back” at a show at the Something in the Water festival in Washington, D.C., the previous weekend – the reactions were quite adverse.
Amid the ongoing chaos of mockery and parodies on TikTok, Timberlake posted on social media to send his apologies.
“D.C., I want to apologize to you for two reasons,” Timberlake uploaded a video on his Instagram Story on Wednesday. Later in the clip, he diverts the camera downward to focus on his multi-hued sneakers. “Here and here!”

He continued jokingly, “I had a long talk with both of them individually and said, ‘Um, don’t you ever do that to me again.”
The shoes are not the only thing to blame; Timberlake also pointed fingers at his pants at the show’s time, mentioning a “khaki vibe.”
To make light of the situation, Timberlake then re-uploaded TikToks mocking his moves on his Instagram Story – including a young girl copying the dance with a caption: “she did it better than JT.”
“I don’t disagree,” Timberlake remarked with a laughing emoticon.
