Lil Durk, the hip hop artist, was injured during his performance at Lollapalooza 2022. He is said to have been hit by pyrotechnics that blasted in front of him.

On Instagram, Durk shared his sentiment after the incident and his eye that is bandaged up in the newest photo he has posted.

Durk’s walk into the explosion made him stop rapping and attempt to wipe his eyes with his T-shirt.

“Woah, Woah, you alright, bro? It shot straight up,” his DJ is heard saying, referring to the smoke.

“Due to the incident that happened at Lollapalooza in Chicago on stage, I’ma take a break & focus on my health,” he said in the post. “I finished my performance yesterday for my fans. Appreciate y’all.”

We have not yet heard back from Lollapalooza regarding this important matter.

Durk will be playing later this month, having more dates set for September and October. Lollapalooza continued its Chicago show for its last day, featuring Green Day and J-Hope as headliners.

The video of the accident that went viral on different social media platforms shows Lil Durk walking onto the stage, and then getting hit in front of two smoke pillars. He then protects his face with his T-shirt, and the music goes off.

Following a short moment of silence, Durk replied, “F—k it, no more smoke, let’s do it,” ahead of continuing his performance.
