Across every corner of the music industry, talented artists lie in wait for their moment under the global limelight. Until such a time comes, most artists constantly fight tooth and nail as they climb the summit of the musical landscape. Moxie Knox’s time under the spotlight has been long overdue, and it’s only a matter of time before she reaches global superstardom with her exceptional talents and outstanding music.

Moxie Knox is an artist who has it all. She is a renowned singer, songwriter, dancer, recording and mixing engineer, and actress. The multifaceted artist has consistently dazzled the music industry with every release, crafting hauntingly beautiful tracks that harken back to the nostalgic days of soulful R&B mixed with a twist of what the future sounds like.

A natural-born leader through and through, Moxie Knox has the uncanny ability to communicate with anyone no matter who they may be. As such, networking has practically become second nature to the talented artist. Exuding beauty and confidence at every turn, she captivates the attention of everyone in the room by just simply showing up.

Straight out of the Bronx, New York City, Moxie Knox has always had a penchant for music. Though she lived in the Bronx, Moxie attended some of the best schools on the Upper West Side of Manhattan, Harlem, and Brooklyn, all of which were very diverse. She would either listen to music or write songs on the train on her way to school and work every day.

She initially got her start in the entertainment industry as a five-year-old dancer who performed at popular venues such as Alvin Ailey Studios. She studied ballet and tap dance at The Dance Theater of Harlem, an American professional ballet company and school based in Harlem, New York City founded under the directorship of Arthur Mitchell in 1969.

Around this time, a young Moxie would develop a deep passion for lyrics and poetry, finding a particular interest in the wordplay of rappers. This passion would lead her to study song structure and write songs with her newfound knowledge. Throughout the years, Moxie Knox would hone her craft by studying music theory, classical music, songwriting, and audio engineering. She would also undergo voice and ear training to elevate her talents further.

As she decided to dive deeper into her music career, Moxie Knox invested time and money in performance training, going five days a week while taking voice and dance lessons. Building upon her prior dancing experience at the Millenium Dance Company when she was ten years old, Moxie further honed her skills in many forms of dance such as ballet, tap, contemporary, hip-hop, jazz, African, and many more.

Eventually, Moxie became a member of the Elliott Dance Company, founded by Kim Elliott, the director of the touring student dance company at Rutgers University. During her rise as an esteemed dancer Moxie would be subjected to a strict training regimen, training at the most prestigious dance schools and dance studios all over New York City.

As she further cemented her place in the music industry, Moxie would then buy digital audio workstations to produce her music from the comforts of her own home. In hindsight, much of Moxie’s current success is due in part to her meticulous preparation, impeccable work ethic, and burning desire to succeed.

She writes many of her own songs in acapella, awing people with this sought-after talent. She also crafts her songs with particular consideration of her vision, vocals, and the musicians she collaborates with before rough-mixing them and sending them off to her mixing and mastering engineers.

In 2018, Moxie Knox began releasing her music to the world, dropping her first two singles, “Thorough” and “One More Time,” with resounding success. “Thorough” became a massive hit when renowned music website Pigeons & Planes reposted the track and garnered over 40,000 streams in its first week. “One More Time” became a certified hit when it earned a spot on Audiomack’s Verified R&B Playlist and was later added to Sprite’s Sprite Way Spotify playlist. The music video for “One More Time,” directed by Moxie and Peter Frederick, is nearing three million streams organically. Moxie also writes the treatments, directs, and co-directs all her independently released music videos.

Riding on the waves of her previous success, Moxie Knox released her self-love anthem entitled “Love Me Right” in 2019, along with a breathtaking music video produced by Sprite and UPROXX via their “Thirst For Yours” campaign. The music video currently has over 1.5 million views on YouTube, and the “Thirst For Yours” pulled in over 71 million impressions after the “Love Me Right” music video was featured on BET Jams. “Love Me Right,” now at over 10 million streams, was also featured on Joe Kay’s Soulection Apple Music Playlist & Radio, featuring an elevating mix of Future Beats, Reggae & Afrobeats. Moxie is known for always pairing her dance abilities and storytelling abilities with her own music and videos, allowing her to cultivate a distinct creative aesthetic that is just pure Moxie.

Moxie Knox has come a long way from the young dancer she was as a child. The evolution is clear as day, as she prominently features her remarkable dance moves in several music videos, elevating her beautiful songs into a full-on performance. Many of her fans from the dance and artist community took on her lead and have engaged with her songs by choreographing, dancing to and covering her songs, especially “Love Me Right.” Some have shared stories of how her music has inspired them to commit to being a more loving partner to their significant other, filed for divorce from an unhealthy marriage, and even canceled their plans to end their lives.

Recently, Moxie Knox executive produced and released her ten-track album “Ride,” featuring the talents of Grammy-nominated multi-instrumentalist and composer Phil Lewis, Grammy award-winning producer and sound engineer High Octane, and multi-platinum engineer Anthony Daniel. The album accompanied two music videos for her tracks “Curious” and “Too Late.” Upon its release, Moxie became the face of Pandora’s Indie R&B playlist.

Her latest single off the album, “Open Up,” was mastered by Dan Millice, who notably worked with talented artists such as French Montana, Kanye West, Nas, and ASAP Rocky. The song features two music videos with day and night versions, and its lyrics are embroidered in premium shirts and tote bags  featured in Moxie Knox’s recently released merch line

Moxie Knox is scheduled to perform with renowned music company Sofar Sounds on October 29, 2022, at a secret location in Los Angeles. Audiences may purchase a ticket to the show through Moxie’s website. Moxie also has so many exciting releases on the way with popular producers and artists from Germany, London, the Netherlands and more. Be on the lookout for her upcoming release with Maya Jane Coles next month.

It’s only a matter of time before Moxie Knox becomes the world’s next icon in the industry. Her music and talents have been cultivated for many years, and it clearly shows in her lush production, vibrant aesthetic, deep and soulful tunes, and overall X-factor that only the biggest stars in the world could ever possess.
