Rising artist J.Addo has gone a long way from the little choir boy that he was to the unstoppable music artist that he is today. After releasing his album Chosen and single “Shake,” the days ahead of him are looking a lot brighter as music fans are expressing their love for his brand of music.
J.Addo hails from a family of musical talents. His mother, who grew up in Ghana, was also a singer when she was younger. His brother Prah Di Jay is also a music artist and producer. Interestingly, love for music is something that comes naturally to each member of his family, and fueling the burning passion inside of him is quite easy due to the encouragement of his family.
Despite the challenges that are common to all aspiring music artists, J.Addo makes sure to stay focused on his goals and keep an open mind about possibilities. He knows all too well that building a music career can get daunting at some point, but his commitment and love for music keep him motivated to continue. “The people and the journey motivate me every day,” J.Addo explained. “I was always told that there was beauty in the struggle, which is very true, but the results feel so much sweeter. My family, my friends, my fans/supporters really stream my stuff faithfully on Spotify, and my Youtube total views are almost 800,000 views, for which I am forever grateful.”
He may be a long way from becoming the kind of music artist he dreams of being, but J.Addo has a clear vision of the direction he wants to follow in his career. In the next few years, he sees himself rising to the top as a music artist with awards recognizing his hard work and distinct personal brand. He also looks forward to achieving a stable financial status and giving his family a comfortable life. As he is often looking for ways to expand his potential and reach, he is strongly considering starting his own podcast, establishing his own IT business, and making promising investments in properties.
Having started from the bottom gives J.Addo a unique perspective of the music industry. Over the years, he has come to understand what it truly takes to create a respectable name in the music industry. More than the talent and the passion is possessing the right attitude and values that will keep a person in check when the good times start to happen. Ultimately, he wants to bring honor to his home country, Ghana, and to his present hometown in the state of Maryland through the kind of music he creates. In doing this, he aspires to inspire other people to pursue their dreams passionately and never give up no matter how challenging times may get.
