Each week, contestants participate in a virtual competition, which asks them to upload a 20-second performance for the chance to be selected as one of the 5 weekly competitors. If chosen, their videos are posted to the Xtrellas’ social media feeds where a worldwide audience gets to see them. By the end of the week, contestants with the most likes, comments, and shares will win that week’s contest. This interactive and democratic approach to judging has helped Xtrellas cultivate a vibrant and diverse community of LatinX performers and audiences who can express themselves and connect with others.
Each week, the winning act is awarded the opportunity to sign a talent management contract—a life-changing opportunity for many.
