Aoife is an artist, designer, and creative director based in Ireland. She has specialized in digital design via fine art, industry biochemistry, mentorship, and event organizing. She is also the founder of The Foofees, her ongoing hand drawn 1/1 PFP project. Aoife had been curious about AI for a while and experimented with it when the Montage team invited her to join the ART IS project. She began with images, text, and blended image prompts, and soon enough, she was aware of how the model interpreted information.
A gifted artist, Aoife describes her style as a mixture of weird and cute 2D characters. She also notes that she has found her groove blending outputs trained on her art and text prompts to find the perfect vibrancy that matches her energy in AI. She adds, “I made some final touch-ups and added more of my signature color palette by hand in Procreate once I found an output I was happy with, but I’m also excited to use some of the results as references and inspiration for hand-drawn pieces in the future.”
In her view on AI’s impact as an artist and a creative, Aoife says, “It is exploring a strange new land where I don’t speak the new language yet or know the topography. The bewilderment and trepidation but the excitement and adventure of something new and unknown ahead of us. It is about not taking yourself too seriously as you move through this new creative landscape.”
WonderMundo entered the NFT space in April 2021 after rediscovering her artistic self following years of trauma-related suppression. Her love for trying new looks in workflow led her to AI to share her ideas with the world. It is now opening her inner world, and she feels it is a magical place beyond what we can see, but it exists.
As a skilled artist, WonderMundo explains that AI is not only a medium but also a valuable tool in her creative workflow. However, she initially faced a stigma surrounding AI adoption. Despite the challenges, she overcame the stigma by embracing transparency and taking pride in the output. “It will be difficult before everyone sees the benefits of AI, and it may take some time before everyone can benefit from it, depending on implementation. I hope that AI can free people up and that we can all have a universal basic income. However, I fear that this will be a long and uphill battle,” asserts WonderMundo.

Aoife also hopes that her drawn project, The Foofees, will continue to evolve and reignite her passion for mentorship and knowledge sharing through more talks, events, educational programs, and outreach. Furthermore, she is working on re-drawing all the characters in high definition to get them onto their small contract, which will be a significant milestone.
