Launching a music career is not an ordinary pursuit. All emerging artists who wish to make a name for themselves in the ever-competitive music industry can attest to how difficult, disheartening, and scary it can get. More so if there is no big music label backing up their career plans. Entrepreneur and music enthusiast Ricardo Ortiz is redefining the experiences of aspiring artists by offering them a safe haven where they are free to stretch and experiment with their creativity until they have recorded songs that represent their genuine artistry.
Ortiz saw a pressing demand, and he combined it with his passion for music. The result was Safehouse Studio Inc., a one-stop-shop recording powerhouse that has the ability to change the lives of very talented young artists.
Prior to creating his own company, Ortiz used to work for an exotic car company that was basically not doing so well in the sales area. When he came on board and started to handle all of its promotional initiatives, sales started to pick up. It was then that he became convinced that he was meant to do something big in the area of business but that it would have something to do with music. Instead of growing someone else’s business, he decided to start his own and make it a distinct organization.
“What separates us from the rest is the part where we aren’t just a music recording studio. We also do content creations for artists looking to take themselves to the next level, such as photo content, music videos, skits, directing, teaching students, and the list will only grow,” Ortiz shared.
Safehouse Studio offers video production, photography, mixing and mastering, and event coordinating services on top of its sound engineering offerings. The Chicago-based studio is designed to be a safe haven for young artists who are unsure about their footing and scared to go all out. It is a place where they can freely express themselves and explore where their creativity will take them.
Interestingly, Ortiz has already signed a highly acclaimed artist to his independent label. It only goes to show that people trust him and appreciate his ability to deliver exceptional services and commendable results. He is inspired by his mentor Jason Valcarcel, CEO of Private Stock, who encouraged him to keep moving forward with his plans after seeing he has the capacity to grow a business significantly in a short period of time.
Ortiz is focusing all of his energy on creating a world-class studio fully equipped with state-of-the-art equipment that will optimize the voice and instruments it will record down the line. When asked what kind of artists he wishes to support and work with, he answered, “Mostly young artists looking to find themselves in the world of music. Sometimes it can be hard, but we take our time with each artist assuring they get the best experience from Safehouse Studio.”
Everyone has a dream. Everyone wants to see them happen, but very few are willing to do the work necessary to see it to fruition. By sharing his story, Ricardo Ortiz hopes to inspire the younger generation to remain focused on pursuing their dreams until they become a reality.
