FashZip Out to Change the Face of the Fashion Retail Industry

The most recent retail apocalypse has brought many fashion retail brands to their knees as big clothing companies have started to close shops worldwide due to consumer behavior shifts favoring digital solutions. Add to that the severe effects of COVID-19, and retail businesses are now in deep trouble. That’s where logistics and shopping innovation FashZip comes into the picture.

The concept behind the mobile app, which will launch in spring 2021, is pretty simple. “It is an app similar to DoorDash or UberEats however it solely focuses on fashion retailers,” explains company co-founder Shoppa Wright. The idea first came to him after his daughter passed away. He had ordered an item during their stay in the hospital. After his daughter’s passing, the company delivered the product there a few days after, Shoppa had to return to the hospital to pick it up. At this point, he thought of a same-day delivery last-mile solution that would avoid any hassles caused by the sudden changes in life.

Shoppa Wright met Patience Davoren, a professional with extensive work in Human Services, back in 2016. Patience had the same plight as Shoppa in that she had a sick grandmother who couldn’t leave the house and had to have everything delivered to her doorstep. Together, the two started working on FashZip. COVID-19 delayed an initial quarter two 2020 launch, but now the app is ready to launch in spring of this year.

FashZip will be available for iOS and Android users. After downloading the app, users will get access to same-day delivery from various partner retailers within a fifteen-mile radius. Customers can place an order within minutes and have a Zipper—which is what the company calls its delivery crew—bring over the order within an hour or two.

While preparing for the launch, the team over at FashZip has been relentless in providing a seamless experience in every city it launches in. They have worked endlessly to provide a sufficient number of Zippers in locations while keeping rates and profit shares with partner riders highly competitive. The company has also connected with a vast network of retailers and stores in the past few months, offering an income-generating alternative that no longer depends on physical walk-ins. As many people continue to shift toward online shopping experiences for fashion items, retailers struggle to hit targets with their brick-and-mortar stores. FashZip provides retail companies with a more up-to-date option to get their customers the products they want, minus the long and arduous wait.

As last-mile delivery options continue to rise worldwide, the logistics arm has provided customers with a safer and more convenient way to shop without having to wait days or even weeks for their products to arrive. The logistics arm is composed of logisticians and source managers who are dedicated to making sure they meet the logistics required to maintain the 2-hour window. FashZip hopes to continue advocating for this new way of fashion retail to businesses and customers alike. It maintains that this methodology will become the future of shopping for all industries and categories.

Come this spring, FashZip will be entering Georgia and New York. It hopes to spread all across the United States in the next few years and become the leader in fashion last-mile delivery. To learn more about FashZip and get the mobile app, visit its website and Instagram account.
