The glamour, the glitz, and the sheer beauty of the 35th Miss Asia Beauty Pageant unfolded in Los Angeles, and once again, Hollywood Showrunner and Film Director Victor Migalchan took the stage as a judge. This marked his second consecutive year of being invited to evaluate the dazzling contestants vying for the coveted title.
Joining Victor on the judging panel was the radiant Josslyn Banh, finalist of the Life Academy TV Series and OnAir TV Series, who also played the role of the newly appointed Miss California International Ambassador. Josslyn embodies the essence of empowerment, holding a public position aimed at inspiring girls with her achievements, experiences, and role-model demeanor. In the fast-paced world of beauty pageants, Josslyn brought her A-game, showcasing a profound understanding of judging criteria, fashion flair, stage presence, speech and, of course, her acting prowess.
The excitement in the air reached its peak as Victor and the panel of judges deliberated on the top contenders. Victor shared his insights on the standout contestants, stating, “In our eyes, as well as other judges who were sitting next to us, we believed that the Top 3 contestants were Kidarah Faith, Helen Nie, and Eleanor Palmer.”
Kidarah Faith impressed the judges with her strong stage presence, great energy, and fantastic voice that resonated throughout the venue. Helen Nie showcased elegance, gentleness, and a fragile demeanor, coupled with a sharp mind and impactful thoughts on community work and fighting against hate. Eleanor Palmer has displayed significant growth and impressive stage skills and confidence.
“Kidarah showed great stage presence, given that she is a singer and actress. Helen showed great potential and inner power. Both Helen and Eleanor held more modeling and gymnastic training respectively, and we believe they have great potential. As the preparations for Miss California International 2024 are in full swing, Executive Producer Sergey Ivannikov sent a heartfelt message to all finalists. He emphasized the power they already hold as finalists and encouraged them to leverage this influence for the betterment of their communities.
Victor Migalchan shared his enthusiasm for the upcoming Miss California International 2024, inviting talented representatives from Asian communities not only in California but across the nation. “We all will be delighted to share our support and welcome wonderful and talented representatives of Asian communities not only in California but also in other states to join us at Miss California International 2024,” Victor Migalchan exclaimed. He described the event as “a unique contest which has high class, elegance, and the most distinguished guests.”
Highlighting the professionalism of the judging panel of Miss California International, Victor listed esteemed individuals such as Mayors Martha Guerra and Porche Middleton, Heather Luzzi from the SBA, Fred Millar from the SBA’s Legal Team, UFC and Hollywood Action Star Michelle Waterson, Hollywood Celebrity Chiropractor Dr. Marwan Chahayed, Oculus VR Co-Founder and UC Berkeley Professor Jack McCauley.
“As for me, my main interest is helping the community. You are successful when you can bring value to the community and make change,” Victor shared, echoing the sentiments of his mentors. “To me, of course, the main interest is TV, Film, and Tech. However, I enjoy partnering with Mr. Sergey Ivannikov and holding these amazing events, such as the International Kids Festival, Business & Career Expo, The Best Business Awards & Gala, Miss California International Beauty Pageant, and the like.”
Looking ahead, Victor announced the next Ambassador, the exceptionally talented Alaina Chao. The future promises more excitement, empowerment, and a celebration of beauty and talent at the Miss California International 2024. “Our team will look for more talented gems and help them develop,” emphasized Victor. “I believe that Josslyn and Alaina will be great role models for their fellow friends,” he added.
The 35th Miss Asia Beauty Pageant not only celebrated beauty but also showcased the talents and potentials of incredible individuals, undoubtedly a spectacle of glitz, glamor, and a celebration of diverse beauty.
