Ryan’s preparation for the role involved delving deep into the mindset of detectives, drawing inspiration from real-life experiences and connections within the law enforcement community.”With prep for the role, I have a lot of friends in the police forces from all over and am a part of a big charity run across Route 66 in the US for Temple Street Children’s Hospital in Dublin which I support, so with all the Guards, Sheriffs and officers that are a part of this event I was lucky enough to get to know a lot of great people in policing” Shares Kevin.

Kevin shares. “David Logan and Jo Spain, who pen the series, are really incredible writers and their sense of comic tone and drama in the show really shines, they are the perfect match and therefore this translates through the actors” .Ryan attributes this harmony to the exceptional writing of David Logan and Jo Spain, emphasizing the importance of connecting to the character on a profound level to convey authenticity. “Playing the comedy never works as well for me as doing the deep-rooted work and coming from a ‘real’ place,” he reflects, highlighting the show’s ability to engage viewers with its imaginative yet relatable storytelling.
Behind the scenes, “Harry Wild” is not just a production but a tight-knit family, as Ryan fondly recalls. “All of the cast, apart from being ridiculously talented, are just the nicest bunch of actors on the planet,” he shares.
