For the past seven years, Chloe Mason has been an icon of confidence as a signed sport and fitness model and actress. This October, she is extending her reach and stretching into the literary world with her highly-anticipated children’s book, Mommy’s House.
A written piece carrying empowering themes and representation of queer women of color, Mommy’s House is the second-part of Chloe’s debut as an author following her inspirational journal’s upcoming publication this March.
As a young girl, Chloe Mason held a deep love for literature, often escaping into the pages of a book to momentarily forget the struggles of daily life. With her childhood locked in the grasp of poverty and the stigma against her color, reading and writing were her only refuge.
“I struggled with poverty, being raised by a single mother who did the best she could with what she had,” she recalled.
Under an influential feminine figure to look up to, Chloe’s earlier work was centered on surviving as a woman of color and rising against systemic oppression. However, before she could publish her pieces, financial and personal issues came storming through the door, and Chloe Mason decided to quit school.
After dropping out of high school after the tenth grade, the upcoming author perfected her craft and taught herself the foundations of business and writing. To support her journey, she secured a job as a signed sport and fitness model and later ventured into acting. Her growing impact on the showbiz industry includes her philanthropic work in the local community.
As a glowing inspiration to her audience, Chloe shares how she overcame poverty, addiction, and how she forges on as a single parent. This message is what she communicates to survivors of domestic violence, women, and queer women of color. It is also the theme that she has immortalized in her upcoming book.
Having triumphed over her former financial situation and the countless rejections in the publishing and modeling industry, she encourages her future readers not to give up. “I’m unapologetically myself, and there are not many authors that bring a raw perspective to the book industry,” she reveals.
“The level of drive and resiliency I have is something everyone can achieve if they believe in their dreams, and I hope people can see that from my upcoming work.”
Introducing modern approaches to common everyday struggles, Chloe is determined to equip children and their parents with the confidence and passion for thriving. Mommy’s House has been specially drafted to strengthen parent-child relationships and the highs and lows of living between two households.
Through the highly-anticipated children’s book, the budding author hopes to be the catalyst of positive change in individuals and the community. She wants her work to serve as an eternal refuge for those who have gone through so much in their lives and are looking for a place to recharge on their journey toward health.
In the years after 2021, Chloe Mason is set on continuing down this path. In half a decade, she sees herself with multiple publications to encourage, inspire, and bring awareness to modern-day situations.
