Emmy Vine grew up in a sheltered, religious environment, always a bit of a dreamer with a love for books. As she went through adolescence, she continued to explore different genres, with authors like Sidney Sheldon, Jeffrey Archer, John Grisham, and Tom Clancy keeping her company. Her passion for reading eventually led her to write her own stories, with Damian’s tale taking shape in her 11th grade.
