Award-Winning Actor Jermaine Rivers Welcomes His First Role in the DCEU with “Black Adam”

Jermaine Rivers is set to appear in one of the year’s biggest superhero titles yet again as he joins the ranks of the DCEU in “Black Adam.” Rivers officially became part of the MCU when he doubled as (Jamie Fox’s) Electro in “Spider-Man No Way Home”. With roles in both the MCU and DCEU under his belt, Rivers is well on his way to becoming a house-hold name

Rivers is no stranger to the superhero genre, the Atlanta based actor is best known for his recurring role as Shatter on Marvel’s series “The Gifted”, a drama that was set in the X-Men universe. He also landed a recurring role in long-running television shows such as “Dynasty,” “MacGyver,” and Tyler Perry’s “The Haves and Have Nots.” Earlier this year Rivers made his debut in Starz hit crime drama “Power Book III: Raising Kanan,” where he plays Kanan’s estranged and incarcerated uncle “Vernon Stark”. 

Before becoming a sought-after talent, Rivers starred in small roles in various low-budget independent films such as Ti West’s “The Sacrament” and co-starred in television shows like “Devious Maids.” Currently, Jermaine Rivers is slated to appear in the third season of the hit Netflix series “Sweet Magnolias.” He will play a recurring character  (Charles Perkins), but details are currently scarce regarding his role.

Other projects Rivers has lined up for 2023 include upcoming feature films : “A Party to Die For” and “Freedom’s Path.” Rivers is currently represented by Play Management,  Eris Talent and FWD Talent.
