De’Andre Salter Championing Black Wealth Creation and Retention

Until now, black wealth creation was not a hot topic as nobody cared enough to explore that area or even create something with it. However, De’Andre Salter, a motivational speaker, entrepreneur, certified financial expert, and author, took it as his life’s mission to turn around financial ideologies in the black community. De’Andre Salter built a stellar career in the insurance industry by working with three fortune 100 insurance companies and has established himself as one of the most celebrated and recognized Black executives in the commercial insurance industry.

His insurance experience, coupled with his faith, which drives him to champion causes that bring progress to humanity, inspired him to build the largest black-owned wholesale insurance brokerage in the United States. Beyond being a finance and insurance expert, De’Andre Salter is a bishop consecrated by the Macedonia International Bible Fellowship, an association of pastors representing ministries in the United States and Africa. He is a current serving senior pastor at Impact Church, South Plainfield, NJ.

Bishop De’Andre Salter got a Bachelor’s degree from Drew University and a Master’s degree in Theology from The King’s Seminary. Salter is currently pursuing his Doctorate of Ministry degree, all in a bid to advance his impact and influence in his community. One of the things De’Andre Salter is passionate about is the racial wealth gap, which has widened over the years with little to no regard for the black community. To this end, he created “The Culture of Money,” a faith-based practical financial education and resources community. The Culture of Money teaches three community-shared values, which are “know more,” “own more,” and “pass down more.” De’Andre Salter is leveraging the power of the Black family, Black churches, and Black communities to create sustainable black wealth that can be passed down generations.

The Culture of Money book is also a work in progress and is currently available for preorder. In this book, De’Andre promises a pathway for measurable financial healing that does more than regurgitate the cliché financial advice that many financial experts dish out. “The Culture of Money goes beyond the simplistic advice to build an emergency savings fund as your first step toward financial freedom. It is a book that is guaranteed to change the way you think about your finances. It will help you wake up and learn how money has affected your past, is a driving force in your quality of life today, and will be the largest determinant of your future lifestyle. The Culture of Money helps people identify and change the negative financial behaviors that may be holding them back from building wealth,” De’Andre explains.

De’Andre Salter fuses financial psychology, behavioral finance, and biblical wisdom together to pass across progress-oriented financial lessons and community wealth building. His motivation to commit himself to changing the financial state of black people. Salter learned early enough the difference between making an income and building wealth. Immediately he got the hang of it, he started to work on improving himself, his finances, and that of others around him. His goal for The Culture of Money is to help millions of people gain financial freedom while building sustainable wealth that will last through generations.
