“The nightmare begins.” Not for MCU fans, though. They will have their daydream come true as another sequel in the franchise comes.

The newest trailer for “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness” was released during this year’s Super Bowl and will officially come out on May 6th. It features many cameos with Benedict Cumberbatch’s sorcerer character and his new buddies venturing the multiverse.

One of those cameos is revealed in the 1:18 clip of the trailer. A familiar voice says a line. It certainly belongs to Charles Xavier, widely known as Professor X, from the X-Men series – portrayed by Patrick Stewart.

“We should tell him the truth,” states Xavier, insinuating a grand revelation.

The psychic mutant and his team have not shown up in the MCU, even with WandaVision teasing us with one mutant, which is why this could be a very significant reintroduction.

The camera begins to zoom in on Wanda Maximoff’s (played by Elizabeth Olsen) face as she fights with someone. The person looks like Captain Marvel, but it could be the daughter of late Maria Rambeau, best friend to Captain Marvel. Monica Rambeau looks to be flaunting the powers she gained in WandaVision.

The story hops through parallel dimensions and trails the reality-warping occurrences of “Loki” and “Spiderman: No Way Home.” We saw Stephen Strange interfere with universal fabric to aid Peter Parker in the movie.

Strange seeks help from Wanda, who has been living in isolation after she meddled with the minds of an entire town in WandaVision. However, in this trailer, Wanda appears to be quite bitter and seems likely to play a villain role.

This adventure in various realms will introduce America Chavez (played by Xochitl Gomez), who has a comic counterpart that can open holes of reality and jump across the multiverse.
