Angela Hooper-Menifield is the Chief Equipping Officer (CEO) of Menifield & Associates, LLC, a coaching and training agency on a mission to build and equip effective and efficient supervisors and teams through coaching, training, keynote speaking and behavioral assessments.
Angela is a result-oriented go-getter who seeks excellence in her professional and personal pursuits. She holds a Master’s in Public Administration (MPA) with an emphasis in Human Resources (HR), has a John Maxwell Team (JMT) Certification, two Human Resources Certifications – SPHR (Human Resource Certification Institute) and SCP (Society of Human Resource Management), and is a DISC Level II Certified Human Behavior Consultant. In addition, she also has extensive expertise in Coaching, Leadership, Supervisory and HR Training, Public Speaking, Human Resources, Operations Management, Strategic Planning, Recruitment, Customer Service and Communications.
Angela was a public servant with the federal government for over twenty-eight years on her professional journey to become a senior leader. She spent over two decades supervising and leading others to excel and reach higher potential through coaching, teaching and training. She is now stepping into her purpose and leveraging her years of experience and expertise to help organizations and aspiring leaders maximize growth opportunities and create positive work experiences with equipped and professionally trained supervisors & leaders, specifically those in the public sector.
To get started, she established her coaching and training agency, Menifield & Associates LLC, where she leads a team of professionals to combine expert teaching with applications to ensure that participants learn the proper methods and competencies needed to lead and supervise. Participants apply what is learned and mastered in a safe environment and ultimately take that evaluated knowledge back into their respective workplaces with new cells of recognition that translate into a higher degree of success.
“With our extensive knowledge and certifications in the HR space, including serving as a SHRM Certification course instructor, we combine knowledge of rules and regulations with emotional intelligence and performance management to empower leaders to effectively navigate promoting the potential and greatness within while legally escorting and promoting out those without an invested interest,” Angela explained.
Angela utilizes her years of experience to help individuals new to supervision and leadership get integrated into the demanding role through her agency. She is helping them make a smooth transition from being a peer to becoming a supervisor and those promoted due to their technical expertise too soon, thus not quite being properly equipped. This inspiring coach is also an Independent Executive Director with the John Maxwell Team (JMT) and serves as a faculty member with JMT and Adjunct Instructor at St Joseph’s College, Brooklyn, NY. She is also a Launch Director with Business Network International (BNI) New Jersey, a member of the BNI USA Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) Committee, where she focuses her efforts on creating training content to support BNI’s DEI vision, and a member of the BNI Matrix Chapter.
Angela is a positive, energetic and hardworking individual with a singular purpose of helping everyone get a WIN in life.
