Life without music is comparable to a soulless body. Music is what helps people transcend messages and feelings through tunes and words that surpasses any language barrier. In all of these kinds of music, rap is a genre of music that has been there for generations. N-Sane Records, headed by K.G., aim to keep the flames of rap music alive.
At a young age, K.G had been musically inclined. When he was eight years old, he began producing music and dropping lines and bars. K.G was also a drummer in his school’s band and a singer in the church choir. No question that K.G. is meant to create music.
However, recording companies want their artists to fit the mold passed on in the music industry. K.G. refused to do so. Hence, K.G. created N-Sane Records. As the CEO of the company, he has the freedom to express the genuineness of his music and exercise artistic freedom.
As a born performer, he released his first EP album, Heaven and Hell, in 2011. After which, he also released more singles such as Twerkin It, released in 2014, and Dump Trump, in 2016. On January 17 of this year, he released his album entitled Vocal Impact, along with Dump Trump 2020 in June of the same year.
Aside from N-Sane Records, he also is the CEO of R’Shard Publishing. Indeed, K.G., a singer, rapper, producer, graphic artist, publisher, and actor born in Albany, GA, raised in Radcliff, KY, is just warming up. In line with this, he works on his podcast and talk show called Vocal Impact on his Roku channel.
With his artistic talents, more music that will tackle different issues is sure to come. It may be true that people have different tastes in music, but K.G. believes that, under N-Sane Records, there will always be something available for anyone from all walks of life.
Being a one-man record label, the CEO of N-Sane Records answers to no one but himself. He then uses this advantage to release songs usually neglected by other records due to its bluntness and unconventional. These characteristics make the music he releases stand out from the rest of the music available in the market, which all sounds like they were made out of the same cookie cutter.
It may be tough to break the stereotypes established in the music industry for how many years now. But, N-Sane Records, under the leadership of a spirited and talented CEO, is slowly making a dent. Not only will this benefit K.G. but also future generations of rappers and other artists who aspire to produce music that tickles the minds and hearts of listeners across the globe.
Rap is a form of expression that is not contained in a mold of oppression and mainstream. And rappers, such as K.G., will need a safe place wherein they can muster all their artistic prowess to create content that is genuine, heartfelt, and inclusive. This place is what N-Sane Records want to become as they continue their journey.
