The music industry is full of talented individuals who are just biding their time and waiting for their turn in the spotlight. Though mainstream appeal has never been the goal of his creative pursuits, Apollo Gold is poised to become a massive success in the music industry through sheer talent and musicality alone.
Also known as “The God of Music,” Apollo Gold creates music that blends an ear-kissing melodic sound over ethereal production. The esteemed recording artist is always finding ways to create new sounds by infusing different genres of music. He is heavily influenced by Cloud Rap, Psychedelic Rock, Punk/Grunge, and Smooth Jazz.
He plucks most of his inspiration from his most influential idols, such as Michael Jackson and A$AP Rocky. His passion for music grew from being influenced by the likes of local artists at the time, such as Denzel Curry, Ski Mask the SlumpGod, and XXXTentaction. This drove him to perfect his skill set and talent and pursue music as a full-time career.
Apollo Gold began his professional musical journey as a DJ in Miami while still in college. He would provide the musical atmosphere for crowds of hundreds. Buying studio equipment with his first FAFSA check, he started to build his home studio. As a self-taught music producer, he created full-length records from scratch and officially began releasing music as of 2020.
His singles, “LV” and “Underworld,” have garnered a lot of attention online, transporting listeners to a different dimension in a trance-like state. The songs feel like a spell that “The God of Music” himself has cast upon his audience, and they’re only going to get better from here on out. This is only the start of a promising career for a once-in-a-generation talent that will continue to exceed all expectations as the years go by.
Apollo Gold released his debut album Nighttime Blues this year on October 22. The seven-track project features emerging Texas rapper Iazye and long-time friend and collaborator Deezer. “The God of Music” guides listeners through the hero’s journey all the way from the “Underworld” to “Dïe.” With impeccable production from various collaborators and mixing and mastering curated by Apollo himself, Nighttime Blues is a musical journey that takes audiences through the highs and lows of the Night as told by Mr. Gold.
The record captures a time and stage of life through a soundscape that will live on forever. As a frequent traveler, Apollo Gold shoots a new music video in every city he visits. He recently put out the music video for his lead single “LV” and filmed it in Las Vegas, Nevada, while on a trip celebrating his 21st birthday.
Apollo Gold has various music videos in the pipeline, with locations such as Chicago, Brooklyn, and Cancun. The man is non-stop even when he’s on vacation. Audiences should be on the lookout for brand new visuals and new music videos dropping very soon. In the near future, “The God of Music” sees himself working with A-list rappers, singers, and producers every single day. He envisions himself spending countless hours in the studio crafting albums and tracks that will receive Gold and Platinum certifications for his writing, performance, and production. He also hopes to tour all around the world, having sold-out arenas with audiences singing every single lyric at the top of their lungs. Things are looking great for Apollo Gold, and it’s only a matter of time before he truly gets to the summit of the music industry.
