Trey Cornelius grew up with an innate passion for music. He spent a significant amount of time every day learning guitar, enhancing his knowledge with more tricks by observing some of the greatest guitar legends of all time. He loved entertaining people with his talent, and he realized that his music could bring people joy. Initially, he sang people’s songs and participated in school productions. As time went by, Trey wanted to reach a wider audience and dreamed of someday gaining the spotlight.
From that point, Trey Cornelius decided to pursue music as a full-time career. He began writing his own songs and completely committed himself to being a musician. Today, the artist is aiming to land a record deal and work with prominent names in the music industry. With his recent song, “Next to You,” Trey seeks to cement his reputation as an artist to watch.
Besides creating his own music, Trey Cornelius is also passionate about making covers of iconic songs and putting his own style to them. He also plays other instruments, aside from his guitar, making him more versatile than other aspiring musicians. Trey is currently showcasing his talent in playing the guitar, piano, and banjo by uploading self-produced videos across his social media platforms, including YouTube, Facebook, and Instagram.
Despite looking like someone who’s had a smooth journey, Trey Cornelius has had to face his fair share of challenges. Still, he remained determined and optimistic in reaching his goal. The artist draws inspiration from some of the best musicians in the history of music, such as Thomas Rhett, LeAnn Rimes, Dolly Parton, and Taylor Swift.
“There were places I wanted to go sing at, but I couldn’t because you had to be a certain age or you had to be a member of something,” recalled Trey Cornelius. But with hard work and passion, he got past that state. He also shared that he once went across the country to join a music competition where he made it to the Top 40, another milestone in his music journey.
“When you are faced with challenges, the best thing to do is to face them head-on and take it like a man. Never be one to say never,” shared Trey Cornelius. “If you strive for success, then anything can happen if you let it. Put in the work and make every second count,” the artist added.
In five years, Trey Cornelius aims to play for large crowds and steal hearts with his music talent in Nashville, Tennessee. Every musician starts from the ground up, and Trey assures that he is taking every step he can to reach his dreams. Someday in the near future, his name will be recognized by anyone in the world.
