From teaching himself through YouTube to sharing his gifts across the United States.

Meet Justone Du Plessis, a 26-year-old internationally recognized dancer with a purpose to educate and inspire young dancers. Justone grew up in South Africa, a country that is often regarded as a challenging environment, especially for artists, but that didn’t stop the determination within him. His mantra is: “If you want it enough, you can have it.”

A true inspiration to the community, Justone learned most of his impressive dance skills on the humble grounds of his front lawn. Mimicking videos from YouTube and practicing tirelessly until one day, he would get closer to his big dream. He had no idea or plan of how he was to achieve this dream, but he believed in it anyway. And like many others with that kind of grit, he is steadily progressing towards his goal every day.

Justone has been dancing on board the world’s biggest cruise ship corporation, Carnival, for the past 3 years. Performing in shows by elite choreographers such as Paul Roberts, a VMA award winner, and Ashlé Dawson, the So You Think You Can Dance superstar. He has been saving money to work toward living his dream in the United States. And he has finally saved up enough to embark on the next phase of his career.

The multi-talented dancer has secured a job offer from a prestigious studio in Florida, Chace Dance Company, run by owner Tamra Chace. The moment Tamra witnessed his talent, she immediately offered him a faculty position at her studio. Tamra says that Justone will be an incredible asset to the American dance community, motivating dancers and enriching the community through his cultural roots.
