By: Dr. Goodman, DC + Dr. Bradberry, DC | ReliefNow Laser Charlotte | Charlotte, North Carolina
When patients across Charlotte, Pineville, Matthews, Ballantyne, Myers Park, SouthPark, and Gastonia look for non-surgical relief from disc pain, neuropathy, arthritis, sports injuries, and chronic musculoskeletal conditions, they increasingly find a practice built around two doctors with unusually broad clinical backgrounds. Those backgrounds span work with Olympic-bound athletes, NFL and NBA players, Ironman competitors, ballet dancers, NASCAR and PGA/LPGA athletes, weekend warriors, and everyday patients seeking a drug-free option. At ReliefNow Laser Charlotte on Park Road, Dr. Eric Goodman, DC, and Dr. Douglas Bradberry, DC, apply that combined clinical depth to the Regenerative Medical Laser™ protocol.
What matters in pain care is not the equipment. It is the clinical judgment to identify exactly what is generating the pain, determine the appropriate intervention, and deliver a protocol calibrated to the specific presentation. That judgment is built on years of working with demanding patients across professional and recreational sport.
Who Is Dr. Eric Goodman, DC?
Dr. Goodman is a North Carolina native who earned his BS in Biology from the University of North Carolina Charlotte before completing his Doctor of Chiropractic at Palmer College of Chiropractic in Florida. After returning to Charlotte, he continued to build a deep postgraduate training profile that includes neurokinetic therapy, acupuncture, laser therapy, rehabilitation, and nutrition.
His clinical experience spans NFL, NBA, NASCAR, PGA/LPGA, and USTA tennis players, alongside collegiate track and field athletes, Ironman competitors, CrossFit athletes, and classically trained ballet dancers. He is an athlete himself: a CrossFit competitor, weightlifter, 5k and Spartan racer, and a basketball, volleyball, and softball player. He understands athletic demands from personal experience, not just clinical training.
Beyond the clinic, Dr. Goodman stays active in the Charlotte community through Habitat for Humanity, United Way, and Rotary Club. He is a North Carolina native who has invested himself in the city at every level.
Who Is Dr. Douglas Bradberry, DC?
Dr. Bradberry earned his BS in Human Nutrition from the University of Florida before completing his Doctor of Chiropractic at Palmer College of Chiropractic with honors. He holds the Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician (CCSP) designation, an advanced credential representing focused training in sports medicine, exercise science, and athletic injury management.
His clinical career has taken him to the highest levels of international sport, working with Olympic-bound athletes from the United States, Canada, South Korea, and Estonia. He also serves Charlotte’s weekend warriors, the recreational athletes of the city’s running trails, soccer fields, golf courses, and fitness facilities. He competes in soccer, football, basketball, golf, and running, which means he understands his patients’ demands because he lives them.
Dr. Bradberry relocated to Charlotte from Largo, Florida to build his practice here, bringing a sports medicine background to Mecklenburg County’s athletic and general patient communities.
What Is the Regenerative Medical Laser™ Protocol?
The Regenerative Medical Laser™ protocol delivers FDA-cleared, Class IV near-infrared laser energy to specific tissue structures. Near-infrared laser therapy is associated in the research literature with reduced pro-inflammatory cytokines, stimulation of mitochondrial ATP production, and activation of cellular repair mechanisms. A 2017 systematic review in Lasers in Medical Science examined measurable reductions in inflammatory cytokines and tissue repair effects. Sessions run 20 to 30 minutes with no needles and no downtime.
What the two doctors emphasize is the clinical depth applied to the technology. Dr. Goodman’s neurokinetic therapy training helps identify the motor control contributors that can perpetuate pain. His acupuncture training adds a neuromodulatory complement, and his nutrition training addresses metabolic contributors. Dr. Bradberry’s CCSP and sports medicine background brings a performance-recovery focus. Together, the two approaches inform how the practice builds each patient’s care plan.
