Interviewer: Makayla Mechelle (Bay Bay!), you began your career in this field at a youthful stage, while you were still exploring your abilities. What has exerted the most significant influence on your development and transformation as a performer?
Makayla Mechelle: The entertainment industry is very rewarding. The time I’ve invested in modeling, songwriting, and project development has evolved significantly since my initial foray into this field. This transformation has been pivotal for me. I’ve dedicated substantial time to honing my craft, exploring my artistic voice, and methodically absorbing the world around me. This deliberate, unhurried approach has proven immensely beneficial. Furthermore, reconnecting with individuals of my own age group has been instrumental, especially considering I embarked on this journey at such a young age. Reuniting with friends from my hometown in Arizona (referred to fondly as “Dessert Baby”) has allowed me to draw from a place of authenticity and honesty in my creative work.
Interviewer: Nice! Arizona is a lovely place,I took my finance there recently. She loves the desert out there especially when it comes to hiking. What person or element has exerted the most significant impact on your professional journey?
Makayla Mechelle: My close friends have been so supportive and helpful through all of this, I feel really lucky to have them. My close friends have always traveled with me everywhere. They made substantial life changes to be by my side, ensuring that I didn’t have to face everything alone.
Interviewer: You recently talked about moving to California, which has a prominent Model and music scene. In what ways has the vibrancy of the city perpetually served as an inspiration for your creativity and artistry?
Makayla Mechelle: I’m definitely planning on moving to California soon. It has been my aspiration since childhood. I can’t believe that it’s happened. Stepping outside, the perpetual energy envelops you, and it was some time before I could write a song amidst it all. I was putting a lot of pressure on what my songs would be about, but I just had to go to my inner creative space and do just my thing. When it comes to modeling I love working with different photographers. Each photographer I have worked with brings their own creative flavor within their photography skills, but just being a part of the model industry is really cool because I love meeting people, traveling, and exploring. Honestly, doing those things has sparked a lot of my creativity. Initially, there were several sad days during which I found myself in tears due to the overwhelming depression stemming from various personal challenges in my life. I just had to get it out. But now, they’re more positive days for me. I’m deriving ample inspiration from this and experiencing mental clarity as a result. I’ve done a lot of reflecting. There’s been so much that’s happened in 2023. In moments of contemplation, I discover inspiration’s hidden gems, as my mind clears and creativity ignites. These reflective pauses have become my artistic sanctuary, rejuvenating my spirit. There’s been so many amazing things happening in Miami. Taking a moment to pause and contemplate has been truly refreshing for me.
Interviewer: Oh yes mental health is very important. I amYou’ve getting your mental health on track so you got a new single coming soon . Tell us about the inspiration behind it.
Makayla Mechelle: When I wrote my new song I was in a very emotional state of mind, I lost some close friends of mines from depression also as I had some past exes that I was still healing from, so all the emotional things I was going through help inspire me to write the lyrics for my upcoming single
Interviewer: Oh I’m sorry for your loved ones, may they get better within souls. You’re celebrating a mega success within your entertainer career, and speaking about past relationships with people, how is your mental health holding up?
Makayla Mechelle: mental health has been actually doing better within time moves forward, I think more people should be aware of how much mental health has a very big impact on your life. As mental well-being carries equal significance to physical health. Brain is an organ, it can get sick too. When you feel that something’s wrong with your physical body, the initial response is to drink medicine, or see a doctor. The same principle should apply to mental health. The brain is an organ that can malfunction as much as any other organs of the same thing with mental health. I will also say this that the world isn’t perfect, but it’s there for us doing the best it can. That’s what makes it so damn beautiful.
Interviewer: Oh I feel that on to the last question, you’ve talked a little bit about this next body of entertainment work. Is there a tantalizing tidbit you can offer about it? What unique essence will set it apart from your previous work?
Makayla Mechelle: It’s definitely different. I’ve already established that with “my previous entertainment work.” I want to tell the story of growing up in hardships and making it through the mud until I found a way. In this grand tapestry of my artistry, love and loss weave intricate patterns throughout the journey. I’m exhilarated for this narrative to unfurl, breathing life into the entirety of this creative masterpiece.
Interviewer: That’s amazing. I am glad I got the opportunity to interview you Miss Makayla Mechelle, you’re definitely an icon living, continuing to make great music in the entertainment scene.
