One of the common misconceptions people have about modeling is that it is a very easy job. To onlookers, models simply need to look good, wear designer items, and pose for the camera; and then they can call it a day. What many do not know is that coming out on top in the modeling industry involves blood, sweat, and tears. For this reason, Karen Bassily, a passionate twenty-year-old model, continues to work hard so that she, too, can make it big in the field.
The fitness and fashion model was born in Cairo, Egypt, where she spent most of her childhood. In 2011, she moved to the US and has resided in Orange County, California, ever since. As a young teen, she became fascinated by the world of modeling. She spent a significant time looking at fashion magazines and watching her favorite TV show, America’s Next Top Model. Soon enough, she developed a passion for modeling and has since been hard at work to become one of the big names in the modeling world.
The young model also has many talents and skills that are considered useful and valuable to have as a model. First off, she is multilingual. She can speak fluently in Arabic, English, and French, plus a little bit of Spanish. Her other talents include belly dancing, singing, skateboarding, and horseback riding. She is also a gymnast and can do body contortions.
On the topic of impressions, most people tend to perceive models to be standoffish and, at times, even smug. However, for Karen Bassily, that is not the case. She has been working as a model for quite some time now, and she has maintained her friendly and pleasant nature. She regards herself to be a very humble person who can get along with pretty much anyone.
Aside from that, she strongly believes that confidence is vital to anyone’s success, especially for models like her. She is a big advocate of body positivity and is immensely proud of her body. One thing she does to maintain a healthy level of self-esteem is to stop comparing herself with others. She realizes that everyone is unique and beautiful in their own way. For her, her confidence and humility are great and helpful stepping stones that can boost her career as a model even more.
This talented young woman has already appeared on covers of several magazines and publications. She had done work for TV as well when she was featured in a music video that was aired in Egypt.
As for her plans and goals for the future, she wishes to take her modeling career a step further and eventually be able to walk down the runway for high-end designer brands. While modeling long-term is still at the top of her priority list, she is also open to the possibility of becoming an actor or TV personality and maybe even build a career around that.
She may still have a long way to go, but with her passion and impressive work ethic, achieving success is surely on the horizon for this promising young model.
