Las Vegas, the world’s entertainment capital, is preparing to host what may be the boldest live event ever imagined. Slated for 2027, MEF5—short for Mega Extraterrestrial Fest V—isn’t just another music festival. It’s being billed as the world’s first interplanetary brand and a cultural movement aimed at the next generation of explorers, creatives, and cosmic dreamers.

Helmed by Lucas Piña, the former head of SBS Entertainment and current CEO of 360 Worldwide Entertainment (360WWE), MEF5 is the result of more than seven years of vision-building. The project blends cutting-edge technology, immersive storytelling, and global electronic music into what Piña calls a “cosmic fantasy genre.” The festival aims to integrate philosophy, spirituality, science, and technology into one seamless experience that redefines how audiences interact with live entertainment.

“It’s a cosmic fantasy genre that integrates philosophy, spirituality, science, and technology,” Piña said in the official announcement. “Through these four narratives, we aim to provide accessible insights from a non-violent perspective, fostering a new community that identifies as the SER-SER Generation.”

The “SER-SER Generation,” as defined by Piña, refers to a new cohort of purpose-driven global citizens—today’s 16-year-olds who will be adults by 2027, as well as Millennials aged 19 to 34. This audience, he says, will be the explorers of outer space, united not only by technology but also by shared values and narrative continuity.

The festival will unfold over three days, 11 hours per day, across a multiverse of five fictional universes that predate the Big Bang. In these imaginative settings, 25 original DJ characters created by 360WWE will perform music composed by award-winning producers. These virtual performers will share the stage with 15 globally recognized DJs selected for their creative alignment with MEF5’s ethos.

One of the defining innovations of the festival is a proprietary technology called SILVER—short for Sensorial, Immersion, Live, Virtual, Experience, and Reality. Developed by 360WWE, SILVER is not just a technical platform but a complete methodology. It will be used to integrate stage design, digital content, gastronomy, augmented reality, and other touchpoints into one multisensory ecosystem.

“SILVER is more than a technical tool,” Piña said. “It’s a methodology that transforms every festival component into a living part of the multiverse. It transcends traditional festivals, introducing a new cultural language for the emerging era.”

The production team is as ambitious as the concept itself. MEF5 is being produced in partnership with some of the biggest names in live entertainment and design, including MGM Resorts, PRG (Production Resource Group), Weta Workshop, MIO Design NYC, and SBS Entertainment. Four-time Tony Award winner Jere Harris, founder of PRG and known for theatrical landmarks like EFX at MGM Las Vegas and Broadway’s Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark, serves as General Producer. He is joined by Co-General Producer James Lehner, whose work includes Terminator 2: 3D and Star Trek: The Experience at the Las Vegas Hilton.

Other key members of the executive team include John Fragomeni, Global President of 360WWE; Grace Roeder Oppenheimer, President of Mergers and Acquisitions; and Luis Pascual, Chief Creator of the Scenic Experience.

Behind the spectacle lies a deliberate and future-focused mission: to establish a scalable, immersive narrative universe that expands across platforms. MEF5 isn’t just a festival—it’s the beginning of an entire ecosystem of story and experience. Audiences will eventually be able to engage with the MEF5 world through video games, mobile apps, social media content, and real-time experiences, making it an “always-on” cultural brand rather than a once-a-year event.

When asked about the biggest challenges in launching a production of this scale, Piña pointed to the years of foundational work that preceded this moment. “Having a team working for over 8 years focused on developing our characters and narrative, plus identifying our technology to be integrated into the festival, and our allies who have trusted in all our work,” he shared. “Now, we only need the final approval from the audience, as it is for them that we dream.”

With more than 250,000 attendees expected from around the globe, MEF5 will mark a milestone not just in live music but in the evolution of experiential entertainment. Its creators envision a future where festivals are more than gatherings—they are portals to alternate realities, emotionally resonant stories, and next-level cultural connectivity.

In 2027, Las Vegas won’t just be the site of another event. It will be the launchpad for a new kind of global experience—one where the audience doesn’t just watch the story. They become part of it.
