Chef Kelvin has spent the last 21 years of his life perfecting his creations, from his decadent creme brûlée to his world-famous arepas. And in his 3-year long relationship with his fiancé, singer Grizel “Chachi” Del Valle, Fernandez has once again found his perfect recipe- a true romance that really does conquer all.

Quite recently he expressed that he was “amazed at the way she was able to bring our beautiful son into this world with such grace and courage”. Kelvin’s love for Grizel has reached a point where he wants her to know that he will “spend the rest of my life loving her and creating a safe space for her to flourish. There is nothing that I can do for her that will feel big enough to express how much I adore her. If I could do nothing but stare at her beauty all day I would quit all of my jobs to do just that but I am dedicated to being a relentless provider, soldier and role model to her and our son Eden”. Some may ask, what is the secret to a great love like theirs? How exactly do these two incredibly talented people find the time for love and romance? But for Kelvin and Grizel, the love just keeps getting better and better with time- it doesn’t matter if they’re in different parts of the world, doing different things, having completely opposing schedules- they’ll always make time for each other and their beautiful son, and keep their family as happy as ever.

In fact, the two first interacted on Kelvin’s Instagram live, where Grizel cheekily commented “Marry Me” as she jotted down the recipe (talk about manifestation!). Days later, they went on their first date, and haven’t looked back since. The two just can’t seem to get enough of each other, showing little snippets to their fans on Instagram of their incredibly romantic life together. It’s clear that Kelvin treats his wife-to-be as a prize that he wants to wake up and win over and over again- it is certainly evident to us onlookers that he deserves to win more awards for his romanticism than for his Arepas!
For a couple like Kelvin and Grizel, the phrase amor eterno truly does come true.
