BALLERINA STRONG: Diana Sorokova Teaches Her Customized Fitness Training Technique

Diana Sorokova is a Personal Trainer whose specialty cuts across Fitness Nutrition and Orthopedic Exercise and a personal training style which she called Ballerina Strong which she created. Born and raised in Slovakia, she began her career at the age of 7, when she started attending a local ballet and gymnastics school. At the gymnastics school, she fell in love with movement, and since then, all she wanted to do was dance. In furtherance of her education, she has gone to a high school specialized in Classical Ballet. At the beginning of her second year, she was offered a job with Ballet Company in our Opera House in Kosice (as the only student in her class who got this offer).

After High School, Diana decided to go to college and went to Royal Conservatoire in the UK to further her studies in Modern Ballet, where she was accepted straight into a second year of the program. Before graduation, she got offered a job in a Premiere Contemporary Dance Company Based in Mexico City. To meet up with her new job demands, she had to speed up her graduation and relocate to Mexico.

While with the company, she had the opportunity to travel to perform even outside of the country. She toured around the USA- Los Angeles, Boston, Washington DC, amongst other cities. During the time she worked in this company, she also began her fitness journey. Subsequently, fitness became a part of her everyday life, and she studied as much as she could about fitness, nutrition and decided to become a certified Personal Trainer. She started teaching group classes and working with clients on a personal level. Seeing her dance experience and fitness knowledge transform the lives of her clients was extremely rewarding. The best part, according to her was, that no matter if they were dancers or not, it still worked for them all.

For Diana, as the face of Ballerina Strong, the focus is on Strength and Flexibility training while adding an artistic feel. The training is not necessarily for dancers. It is for all the ladies (dancers or not) who wish to create a healthy, feminine and graceful body. “My training differs from other trainers because my clients get personalized coaching on strength and flexibility not just from conventional fitness or bodybuilding points of view, but from professional ballerina point of view. Coaching an ART of movement impacts our daily performance, mood, posture, elegance, and gracefulness in everything we do. I do not do regular cardio dance classes, nor regular weight lifting.”

On what motivated her to build her brand, she Recalled the experiences she has had over the years; Diana drew her motivation from her journey. According to her, “Seeing results on myself and later on others. Not just physical changes but also changes in daily habits, daily activities, improved mood and confidence, and higher achievement in work. Combining two of my most favorite things, dance and fitness, and sharing it with others.”

For the next five years, Diana would love to continue building her brand, refining her technique, and have trainers all around the world certified in BALLERINA STRONG Technique.

Diana is committed to her craft as a trainer and wants to teach her students a new Training System they haven’t tried yet. And to also show every woman that they can fall in love with movement regardless of their fitness level or exercise experience. In Diana’s words, they don’t even have to be dancers to experience these fitness classes.
