Grey_hart Speaks on Goals, Passion, and the Pursuit for Musical Success

There are things in life that most of us believe will never blend—pop and hip-hop, melancholy and fun beats, or success and pain. But then one encounters an artist like Grey_hart, who has long been playing a mixing game and coming up with concoctions that defy these assumptions, whether in music or life.

Grey_hart is a Denver, Colorado-based songwriter, producer, and musician who brings together a vibey mix of pop, hip-hop, and alternative music. His songs come out with a very bright and uplifting feel but often carry a melancholic message. While his music is a living paradox, it works, and it works exceptionally well. So much so that he has excelled at his craft and built up a solid following. Fans have gravitated towards Grey_hart’s music because of its ear-catching quality amongst listeners from varied backgrounds. Many have said that his songs are “very easy to listen to,” although “hard to keep up with.” Despite that, people come back for more, hitting repeat on his tracks for the better part.

A lot of the musician’s diversity stems from his background. He grew up in Louisville, picking up inspirations from a diverse musical background. Grey_hart grew up listening to artists like Tech N9ne, Ludacris, Eric Rachmany, and Brendon Urie. Later, he would study at the Musician’s Institute in Los Angeles, California and the School of Rock in Aurora, Colorado.

From a young age, Grey_hart has felt a pull towards music. “I think the reason I pursued a career in music is just how drawn to it I’ve been,” he explains. Grey_hart comes from a family of musicians. His sister is also part of an LA-based punk band called Egg Drop Soup, which he shares has been another inspiration source for him as a musician.

Grey_hart’s singing quickly makes him recognizable, as he has a silky sound that matches well with the blended genre he has adapted. As a writer, the recording artist also has undeniable productivity. He’s known to hit deadlines despite staying laid back and calm for the most part. “So many people, I feel, set unrealistic deadlines for themselves when getting into projects or featuring on other’s music,” shares Grey_hart. “Although setting goals is what it’s all about, meeting and making those goals is the second half, and I’m looking for 4th quarter players that show out under pressure when collaborating.”

And this songwriter has done more than hit his goals. Currently, he stands at fifty new tracks, now ready for release under his record label, ABI. He shares how the COVID-19 pandemic positively served him despite all the heart-breaking events that have followed, allowing him to stay in the zone and create a robust set of material that looks to make a dent in the Denver music scene and beyond.

Grey_hart will be the first to admit that he has a long way to go as his career is still in its “baby phase,” as he would put it. But he is keeping his vision audacious as he hopes to achieve some notable feats in his music career, including artist features, more prominent festival spots, MTV or VH1 features, NBC and ABC placements, and hopefully much more.To learn more about Grey_hart and listen to his music, check out his Facebook, Instagram, and Spotify.
