This is not an overnight success story. Acting remains his true passion, and that commitment is paying off. Between his work on Taylor Sheridan’s hit series Tulsa King, his fan-favorite role as Rocco on BET/BET+’s The Family Business, and a growing slate of film opportunities, Hollywood is clearly taking notice.
As he heads into a new season of Tulsa King while preparing for leading roles on the big screen, Quattrochi is pushing harder than ever — physically, mentally, and creatively.

James Quattrochi: 10 Questions for 2026
1. 2026 is shaping up to be a major year for you. When you look ahead, what excites you most about what’s coming next?
James Quattrochi:
I started this year off running — Tulsa King and a feature film offer right out of the gate. I’m totally focused on my workouts, being in the gym, and honing my craft every single day. I’m also studying Italian online and having a blast. Everything feels aligned, and I’m ready.
2. You’re heading into a new season of Tulsa King. What can you tease about returning to that world, and what should fans be watching for this season?
James Quattrochi:
They don’t tell us much until scripts are released, but Terence Winter, an amazing showrunner and writer, is back this season. That alone makes me think it’s going to be the best one yet.
3. You’re also stepping into a new leading role in an upcoming film. What drew you to this project, and how does it differ from roles audiences have seen you in before?
James Quattrochi:
It’s a true story about an electrician who was injured on the job. After the insurance companies and workers’ comp wouldn’t pay him, he represented himself in court as his own counsel. Two things pulled me in — that it’s true, and the chance to play a lawyer in court.
- You’ve balanced television and film throughout your career. How does working in both mediums push you creatively?
James Quattrochi:
In films, you usually get more takes. In television, you often only get two or three because of tight schedules. That forces you to be ready and completely on point every time.
5. Your discipline and physical presence are a big part of your screen work. How are you training right now to prepare for upcoming roles?
James Quattrochi:
(Laughs) A diet!!! Yes — truly hitting it hard this year.
6. Mental preparation is just as important as physical. How do you stay focused, grounded, and creatively sharp with such a full schedule?
James Quattrochi:
Exercise helps a lot — it reduces stress, releases endorphins, and clears my head. And sleep. I try to do both as much as I can.
7. Fans are watching Tulsa King and The Family Business now, while new films are also being released. How do you reflect on this moment in your career?
James Quattrochi:
I feel truly blessed to have come this far. It took half my life and a lot of dedication. I try to smile, stay grateful, and enjoy the process.
8. You’ve worked alongside major names and on large-scale projects. What are you still hungry to explore or accomplish as an actor?
James Quattrochi:
I keep coming back to a detective ensemble series like NYPD Blue. I actually did that show years ago, and I’m ready for another shot at something like that.
9. When you’re not on set or training, how do you reset and recharge during a busy year like this one?
James Quattrochi:
I go to dinners with friends and family. Getting back to my roots and reconnecting with what makes me me keeps me grounded.
10. Looking ahead to the rest of 2026, what do you most want Entertainment Monthly readers to know about your future and what’s next for you?
James Quattrochi:
Please keep watching and enjoying our shows. I’ll keep everyone posted on new releases and premieres. And I’m putting it out into the universe that a big show pops up soon — so we can create some real magic.
