Kaznelson carries a certification from the International Board of Lactation Consultant Examiners, meaning she has passed several examinations set by the board and completed thousands of hours of clinical work. She has also completed several credits in Anatomy and Physiology, Cultural Diversity, Psychology, Counseling, Child Development, and Nutrition, making her approach to breastfeeding more objective while also remaining mother and child-centered. The breastfeeding consultant first started her practice after giving birth to her first daughter in 1999. She worked in the Elizabeth Seton Childbearing Center until 2003 then proceeded to co-found a private practice.
Nowadays, there’s a lot of judgment thrown at new mothers because of all the expectations others put on them. Ayelet Kaznelson works around the clock to teach mothers in a judgment-free zone while helping them through their most significant hurdles, even the emotional ones. Even during the pandemic, the consultant worked around the clock and never missed a single day of work despite the global health crisis.
As a result, Ayelet Kaznelson has become a go-to expert for breastfeeding and early motherhood in New York City and beyond. Today, she hopes to merge that passion she has honed and cultivated through the years with her first love, which is acting. “I am ready for a change and to take on new and exciting endeavors,” shares the breastfeeding consultant and actress. “I think this is my time!”
