Having one’s feet on two different paths can often be extremely challenging, but it’s now more common than ever to juggle two careers and become successful at both. Such is the case with Ayelet Kaznelson, who is making a comeback into acting after years of parking her entertainment career to raise her two kids and become a lactation consultant. And so far, she has been thriving at both.
Ayelet Kaznelson first appeared on stage and in films. Today, she’s fifty-six years old but barely looks like it. Instead, her natural beauty shows a well-chiseled weathering of time absent of any cosmetic enhancements..
It’s been a while back since Ayelet stepped out of the acting industry for a while to focus on her kids and her breastfeeding support career, in which she has thrived immensely through time. She serves hundreds of families every year by providing evidence-based information and support to help new mothers deal with breastfeeding-related issues.
Kaznelson carries a certification from the International Board of Lactation Consultant Examiners, meaning she has passed several examinations set by the board and completed thousands of hours of clinical work. She has also completed several credits in Anatomy and Physiology, Cultural Diversity, Psychology, Counseling, Child Development, and Nutrition, making her approach to breastfeeding more objective while also remaining mother and child-centered. As a consultant, Ayelet believes that empathy is the key to succeeding in breastfeeding consultation.
The breastfeeding consultant first started her practice after giving birth to her first daughter in 1999. She worked in the Elizabeth Seton Childbearing Center until 2003 then proceeded to co-found a private practice.
Nowadays, there’s a lot of judgment thrown at new mothers because of all the expectations others put on them. Ayelet Kaznelson works around the clock to teach mothers in a judgment-free zone while helping them through their most significant hurdles, even the emotional ones. Even during the pandemic, the consultant worked around the clock and never missed a single day of work despite the global health crisis.
As a result, Ayelet Kaznelson has become a go-to expert for breastfeeding and early motherhood in New York City and beyond. Today, she hopes to merge that passion she has honed and cultivated through the years with her first love, which is acting. “I am ready for a change and to take on new and exciting endeavors,” shares the breastfeeding consultant and actress. “I think this is my time!”
The returning actress hopes to bring a thing or two from the breastfeeding world into her acting roles, such as the empathy needed to relate with a character and an audience. In addition, Ayelet has the added advantage of having a steady following in the motherhood space, given that thousands already know about her because of her day job.
For twenty years, Ayelet Kaznelson has devoted her life to breastfeeding consulting, which means a lot. But now, she feels that she can open a new chapter where she isn’t just in one field. Instead, her love for the arts carries her through the rough days and trains her to remain productive through the challenges.
Kaznelson maintains her IBLCE certification and adheres to the board’s professional standards. Learn more about Ayelet Kaznelson by visiting her website.
