New York, April 10, 2026, Pianist Belle Chi, a Young Steinway Artist, was invited to perform at the Consulate General of France in New York, presenting a program that underscored the role of music as a bridge for cultural dialogue and international exchange.
Held in an intimate salon setting, the event brought together distinguished guests for an evening where artistry and diplomacy intersected. Chi’s performance reflected a refined musical voice shaped by both discipline and imagination, offering a nuanced interpretation that balanced clarity, elegance, and expressive depth.
The program featured Caprice Impromptu by Cécile Chaminade, a work that highlights both brilliance and lyricism. Chi’s interpretation conveyed a sense of spontaneity while maintaining technical precision, drawing the audience into a shared musical experience.
“I was drawn to the elegance and lightness of this piece,” Chi shared. “It has a sparkling surface, but beneath it requires real control and clarity. I see music not only as performance, but as a form of cultural dialogue.”

She was joined by her teacher, acclaimed pianist Alexandre Moutouzkine, alongside violinist Chloé Kiffer and saxophonist Jean Kiffer, whose contributions enriched the program through contrasting timbres and an expanded expressive palette. Their collaboration created an atmosphere of shared musical conversation across instruments.
Reflecting on the evening, Chi noted, “What stayed with me most was the sense of connection between performers, audience, and space. It felt like we were all part of the same musical dialogue.”
This performance marks a significant moment in Chi’s artistic development, reflecting her growing international presence and her participation in events where music serves not only as artistic expression but as a medium for cultural exchange and diplomacy.
