Successful CEO Kimberly Cloud has built businesses from the ground up. She is known for creating a workplace that empowers women by emphasizing their mental health. Her extensive entrepreneurship experience combined with her mental health expertise informs her approach to business and leadership.
Before Kimberly Cloud began her entrepreneurial journey, she joined the US Army. She was with the army for three years before leaving to pursue a different line of work. In 2013, she continued her studies, enrolling in Baltimore City Community college to study counseling and substance addiction. Then in 2017, she enrolled in a psychology course at Coppin University. Kimberly shared, “Mental health is really important to me. In everything I do, I hope to inspire others, and to spread a message of empowerment and hope that things will get better and that people have it in them to change the course of their lives.”
Even with her drive to pursue higher education, Kimberly Cloud still felt the need to do more things with her life. So she established Genuinely Michelle Wigs, a company that provides high-quality wigs for individuals of all ages. “I kept seeing social media pages advertising substandard wigs, products, and hair services. It annoyed me, and I wanted my community to have better options, and to have wigs that will make them feel vibrant and confident,” Kimberly said, “And when it comes to hair and hair styling products that African Americans use, I believe that they should go to an African American owned business. We know what works best for us, and I strive to provide top-quality service to everyone.”
Intent on building a business empire, Kimberly Cloud started a cleaning company called Blue Cloud Cleaning. This company is a professional commercial cleaning business that services the Mountain Top, Pennsylvania area, along with other nearby locations. Their team is guided by meticulous attention to detail and utmost professionalism, ensuring they leave each client with a clean space.
Blue Cloud Cleaning offers a variety of services. One of their services is cleaning commercial spaces such as office buildings, retail stores, restaurants, schools, and churches. This company also offers move-in and move-out cleaning services for clients looking to move into new commercial buildings or office space. The tools, equipment, and cleaning materials their team uses are the industry standard top-of-the-line products. They also provide disinfecting and COVID-19 sanitation services.
No stranger to working her way to the top, Kimberly Cloud has learned a few things about running a successful business and leading with sincerity and integrity. She shared, “I respect the people I work with, and I respect all the time and effort they put into their work. I hope that my outlook as a person and as a leader will inspire them to create a better life and forge a better path.”
Kimberly Cloud has a hands-on approach to her ventures, and it has made her successful in the industries she is in. However, she remains committed to growth and expanding her community, and as such, she will be on several shows to talk about her approach to business. “I will be on La Raza Radio Station and Downtown Hott Radio,” Kimberly shared. This CEO also revealed she has a few speaking engagements lined up on podcasts and television.
