When people undergo some of the most challenging moments of their lives, it can often be difficult for them to find ways to bounce back. However, in the middle of the hardships, an answer usually presents itself and gives people hope for a brighter future. Jonni Apollo is a rising artist who reawakened when he found himself able to identify with the Roman sun god. Shaking off the shackles of despair, he created a new brand in himself.
Jonni Apollo hails from Santa Clarita Valley, California. He was introduced to music by his uncle, who put him behind a drum set at five years old. The memory still runs very clearly to him as the moment just sparked something in the would-be musician. Apollo just knew that he had to make it in music.
During his early teenage years, Apollo did everything he could to discover his niche in music. He would bounce from one band to another and switch from punk rock to ska to hard rock to emo punk. While searching for the right sound, Apollo would also practice his writing. Whether he was on the bus or sitting in class, Apollo would be hunched over a notebook and writing down his songs. At some point, Jonni Apollo would delve into rap. Although he was not typically a rapper, Apollo stated that his niche was in rhythm and poetry as an artist.
Since then, the artist has gone on to make music for sixteen years. He spent eleven of those years applying his rhymes and seven of them pursuing his dream, sacrificing and even losing his child’s mother. As an artist, Apollo takes influence from artists like Benjamin Burnley of Breaking Benjamin, Brandon Saller of Atreyu, and Pete Loeffler of Chevelle. He would develop mic skills and rhyme pattern intricacies that put Apollo as one of the most elite artists in the area.
After a whirlwind of events that brought depression and despair, Apollo would spend a year on hiatus from his music. During that time, he would lose fans, followers, and even friends. However, he made his comeback in 2020.
Shackled by lies, anger, depression, anxiety, and an affair, Apollo would find freedom in the Roman god Apollo, whose name he adopted into his stage name. Rebranded, Apollo would slowly work his way to make his comeback.
Jonni Apollo would then create his comeback album titled ‘Chains From Apollo,’ which symbolized his freedom from everything that kept him on hiatus. Initially meant to be a single, the producer he worked with, Dead End, refused to give up on Apollo and helped turn the single into a full-length album. Chains of Apollo gave the artist a chance to get honest around him. The album shares Apollo’s story of breaking away from his past. The album provides people with details about his personal struggles and opens up about his mental health issues.
Since his comeback, Apollo has started his own record label called CFA Records, taking the name from his comeback album. The rising artist hopes his success will propel him to reaching Forbes 40 Under 40. Additionally, he foresees his record label hitting great heights worldwide. Jonni Apollo is also eager to bring his Supply Chains AP Enterprise and plans to settle down soon.
Moreover, since the comeback with ‘Chains From Apollo,’ Jonni Apollo single handedly surpassed every upcoming artist and even some Major Artists. No management, no publicist, no team — but Jonni invaded the music industry by storm.
