Kayana Herndon Bouncing Back from Job Loss to Find Her Purpose in Music

As the pandemic raged on throughout 2020, millions of people struggled with the severe economic effects that COVID-19 had on jobs and businesses worldwide. In an unfortunate string of events, music lover Kayana Herndon would become one of the millions of people worldwide who would lose her job to the crisis. But instead of allowing the setback to drag her down, Kayana turned her tragedy into triumph by discovering herself in music.

After discovering that the economic downturn caused by coronavirus was going to cost her her employment, Kayana chose to redirect all her efforts and energy into her music. The decision would turn her nightmare into a blessing in disguise as she would flourish in her pursuit of musical expression. In turn, thousands would find solace in her gifts.

The twenty-three-year-old artist is a prolific songwriter with a knack for translating emotions into verbal cues. As Kayana Herndon lost herself in her music amid COVID-19 lockdowns, the songs seemed to simply flow out of her as she produced and recorded music from the confines of her own independent of any label or production house. The result would be a duo of hits that many instant fans would call an anthem of hope amid Coronavirus woes.

It all started when Kayana released her first original track, “Fade Away,” which would captivate people’s hearts almost instantly. Before jumping into creating and releasing original music, Kayana would build up momentum through a YouTube channel that featured various covers and dance videos. To date, that YouTube channel has grown to over 300,000 views and 3,600 subscribers.

But Kayana would find herself most after releasing original music. “Fade Away” has gathered over 2,000 views on YouTube and thousands of streams on Spotify. Following her hit debut single, the artist would release a follow-up track entitled “6 Feet,” which fans call the perfect pandemic jingle. The song has trended amid quarantines and breaking news, winning listeners’ hearts everywhere through digital channels and social media platforms. Today, Kayana has a presence on Spotify, iTunes, Tidal, Pandora, and other streaming services.

It’s incredible to think that Kayana Herndon has only been on this path toward becoming a songwriter and artist. While she currently has no representation, her skills boast a level that will probably catch professional managers’ and labels’ attention very soon. In the meantime, Kayana focuses on developing her talent and putting out content that will bring hope and inspiration to many.

Kayana has already released a music video for “6 Feet,” which she directed herself. The artist also takes the opportunity to enjoy creative independence as she continues to discover new aspects of her craft as time goes by. While today’s trending music displays a level of profanity and explicit content, Kayana seeks to take a different path and keep her music pure, hoping her music would reach an even younger audience as she hopes to influence the next generation through her craft.

There’s no questioning the level of dedication Kayana has as she continues to throw all that she is into her music amid losing her employment.
