SchubertTALK: Breaking Barriers in Life and Mindfulness Coaching Through the Arts

SchubertTALK, founded by Kathrin Danzmayr, is all about the arts, culture, wellness, and fitness. It started as a modern-day interpretation of a Schubertiade. Held every few months, it is a one-hour event that features original performances from poets, actors, dancers, and other artists accompanied by the stirring and beautiful music of classical composer Franz Schubert as well as other composers.

A Schubertiade is a festival-like event that takes inspiration from Schubert and his friends’ tradition of regularly convening in various homes for intimate gatherings as a way to unwind and improve their mood. The events serve not only as an avenue to appreciate music and the arts but, more importantly, to lift people’s spirits. As for SchubertTALK, its objective is to create an authentically uplifting and hopeful environment and foster a community where like-minded individuals can connect with each other.

In 2020, just like many other organizations, it stumbled through a major setback when the global pandemic hit. The implementation of lockdowns and travel restrictions made it impossible to organize the events; they were initially paused and eventually put on the back burner. Despite the difficulties, Kathrin Danzmayr stayed committed to her goals. She searched for other ways where she and the organization can continue providing a healthy and creative outlet for folks to channel their emotions and anxiety.

SchubertTALK has decided to branch out into providing life and mindfulness coaching, things that are considered as necessities in this time of uncertainty and uneasiness. Sharing the same goals, aspirations, and principles with all of Kathrin Danzmayr’s other endeavors, it aims to help people boost their spirits and lighten their moods. Its goal is to be a source of healing and inspiration, a guide for each day that passes, and a way for individuals to gain back trust and hope in society.

What sets SchubertTALK apart from the rest of the competition is its innovative and ingenious approach that incorporates the arts in its sessions. Poetry is regarded as an important and significant element during coaching, with its main belief being that poetry helps shape people’s minds and helps with a person’s grieving process. Utilizing the art of the spoken word, SchubertTALK encourages folks to speak up, especially against abuse and injustice. It inspires people to get in touch with their creativity and imagination in order for them to create meaningfully beautiful works of art. Through its voice, breathing, and life coaching, it intends to ultimately transform people’s lives for the better.

SchubertTalk might still be new, but under the supervision and leadership of Kathrin Danzmayr, it has proven that the power of art is essential to healing. In the future, it hopes to spread the word about its refreshing and unique approach when it comes to mentoring. It plans on catering to more individuals soon, and maybe someday, it might even be the go-to coaching technique used all over the country and the world. You can learn more about SchubertTALK by visiting their official website and Facebook Page and Kathrin Danzmayr through her Instagram page.
