Some dreams begin with a plan. Others begin with a feeling that refuses to go away.
For years, music was that feeling for me.
Growing up, I always loved music, but where I came from, opportunities weren’t easy to find. I never wanted to be the person talking about becoming an artist without actually making it happen, so I kept my passion mostly to myself. While people saw me singing, freestyling, and performing for fun, very few knew how serious I was about it. To many, it looked like a joke. To me, it was something much deeper.
I spent years carrying that dream quietly while focusing on real-life responsibilities. I built a career as a barber, worked hard every day, paid my bills, and took care of business. Music remained in the background, but it never disappeared.
Even before I officially recorded my first songs, I was always trying to get closer to the industry. Around 2020, I found myself around local artists and studio sessions whenever I had the chance. I would sit back, observe, and learn. Every session felt like a glimpse into a world I wanted to be part of.
One night, some friends convinced me to stop watching and start participating.
They pushed me into the booth and encouraged me to freestyle. I wasn’t the most confident person in the room, and English wasn’t even my strongest language at the time, but something happened when the beat started. I let my instincts take over.
The reaction surprised me.
People started telling me I had real talent and that I should take music seriously. At the time, I didn’t know what to think. I appreciated the compliments, but I wasn’t ready to change my life based on a few encouraging words.
Still, those moments planted a seed.
Years later, in December 2025, everything changed.
While cutting a friend’s hair, a beat came on through the speakers. I started freestyling over it the same way I always did. What felt normal to me caught my friend’s attention. He immediately saw potential and offered to bring me to a professional studio session later that evening.
That night would become a turning point.
Walking into the studio, I immediately felt the energy. The setup, atmosphere, and professionalism made it clear that serious work was done there. I knew I had an opportunity in front of me, and I wasn’t about to waste it.
The first beat they played was a dembow record. As a Dominican artist, it was familiar territory, but I initially wanted to showcase something different. I wanted people to understand that I wasn’t limited to one sound or one style.
Then I trusted my instincts.
I stepped into the booth and gave everything I had.
Song after song, the excitement in the room grew. By the end of the session, I had recorded three records. What stood out the most wasn’t just the music—it was the reaction from the people around me.
Around four o’clock in the morning, the studio engineer walked in and asked who had recorded the Dominican track. When he realized it was me, he smiled and said, “That’s a hit. Don’t sleep on it.”
For an artist trying to find confidence in his own voice, those words meant everything.
From that moment forward, I stopped treating music like a possibility and started treating it like a purpose.
I found a producer I could work with consistently and began spending countless nights in the studio after long days at the barbershop. While others were sleeping, I was writing, recording, learning, and developing my sound. Every sacrifice felt worth it because I knew I was building something bigger than myself.
Today, I stand at the beginning of a new chapter.
As a Dominican artist fluent in both English and Spanish music, I see an opportunity to bridge cultures and connect audiences that don’t always share the same experiences. Music has the power to bring people together regardless of language, background, or nationality.
That’s the vision behind everything I create.
My goal isn’t just to make songs. It’s to create moments, emotions, and connections that people can carry with them long after the music stops playing.
Now, with my debut single “OG Dies” set to release, the journey officially begins. The record delivers smooth, laid-back energy while introducing listeners to an artist who has spent years preparing for this moment.
This isn’t a story about overnight success.
It’s a story about patience, sacrifice, belief, and persistence.
From the barbershop to the recording booth, every step has led here. And if this journey has taught me anything, it’s that sometimes the dreams we keep hidden the longest are the ones we’re destined to live out loud.
